      Ducky St. Patrick's Day!

        Ducky St. Patrick's Day!

Our Irish Lulu Ducky cousins are flying in. The major star of the St. Patrick's show, "The Duck O' the Irish," is already entertaining on the Main Stage. We call him Ducky Boyne in honor of the North American Riverdance Tour of that name. If you don't know where the Ducky Reserve is, here's the address - 7031 Beach Drive SW, Seattle, WA. The first video below is short and shows Ducky Boyne doing his Duckydance. The second video is longer and shows details of the whole St. Patrick's Day Ducky Garden.

This is the video of the 2009 St. Patrick's Ducky Garden.
Have a very ducky St. Patrick's Day!

        Ducky Valentine's Day!

The duckiest Valentine's shows on earth took place recently. Ducky Bono's "2010 Love Tour" charity project, took place on the Side Stage at the West Seattle Ducky Reserve. "The Unforgettables" (Ducky Sinatra and Ms. Ducky Love) belted out songs on the Main Stage with the assistance of Ms. Ducky Eva and Mr. Ducky Rose. The West Seattle Ducky Reserve was overflowing with love!

If you didn't make it to West Seattle for the live performances, you can check them out here (below). When viewing the videos, click on the 480p option for a higher quality video.

Hope you had a truly Ducky Valentine's Day!

        Ducky New Year!

The Lulu Duckies partied it up and quacked their way through the night on New Year's 2010. Yep, honest, and, they even did their own fireworks show!

We wish you the best in this new year!

The 2010 Ducky New Year's Tour used a Ducky Disco Ball! How ducky is that?

        Ducky Kwanzaa!

Even though Kwanzaa has reportedly become less celebrated during this last "oh-oh" decade, this 1964 high-school graduate still honors its principles and its creative existence. At a minimum, it symbolizes the quest for equality, which, in my ducky world, still counts. Hope you had a very Happy Kwanzaa!

        Ducky Hanukkah to Us!

Yep, a very cool thing happened to us on someone's way home from the eighth day of Hanukkah (Friday night, December 18, 2009, 9:30 p.m.) -- they delivered two Hanukkah Duckies to the tree on the Main Stage (see pics below). And, they had a lot of fun doing it!

We know who you are, and we thank you so much for adding to the happiness of the Ducky Holidays. We have a large group of Hanukkah Duckies who we didn't have time to display this year (they will be back next year), so it was especially nice that someone brought this delight to the West Seattle Ducky Reserve. And, these two Hanukkah Duckies are the cutest we have ever seen! Shalom!

Hope Your Holidays Were Absolutely Ducky!

Hope you had an absolutely wonderful holiday season. The duckies have moved on to the latest major holiday... migrations happen!

The 2009 Ducky Holidays Tour used a Ducky Disco Ball! Groovy!

Hope You Had a Ducky Thanksgiving!

The Lulu Duckies stood in solidarity and peace with all those who celebrated that first Thanksgiving. If you missed Ducky Stan singing "Turkey in the Straw" on the Main Stage at the West Seattle Ducky Reserve, you can watch him by clicking here to view the video. The 2009 Ducky Stan Thanksgiving video uses the Thanksgiving song, "Love to Eat Turkey," sung by Adam Sandler. A warning for parents -- I used "G" rated excerpts from the song -- there are two "R" phrases in the original song.

Ducky Holidays! (Merry Christmas, and More!)

        Duckies Rule! 2010 Calendars!

Halloween has Come and Gone! (Spooky!)

The Lulu Duckies worked their little tail feathers off creating the World's First Ducky Tower of Terror. Can you believe it? Not unlike the famous Disney World Tower of Terror, the duckies were up to no good for the sake of screaming fun! And, yes, they had fun.

Click on the HQ button when the video starts for High Quality video.

The Halloween Duckies have names -- see if you can figure out which one is which. On the Main Ducky Stage you would have found The Boneheads (a ducky comedy team), Frankenduck (the monster), Ducky Revamp (Re for short -- sings some mean blues). Elevator Ducky, Graveyard Duck, The Screamers, The Bat Duckies (super-heroes growing up), and Count Ducky. On the Side Stage was the whole Bat Ducky Family -- Wizbat, Batduck, and the Bat Ducky youngsters and playmates.

        Happy Labor Day!

The Lulu Duckies saluted all those hard working folks who make our lives better and who support us through thick and thin. They deserve more than a beer bust at the end of summer! See the ducky post at iReport.com -- Love on Labor Day!

You can read more about the United States holiday at Labor Day at Wikipedia.

        Ducky Summer T-Shirts!

        Have a Ducky Summer!

Summer in the USA officially started on June 21, 2009 (also Father's Day this year).

Although summer seems like it would be simple to define, it isn't. Check some of the various definitions found at "Summer" at Wikipedia. The Lulu Duckies worked hard to create The World's First Ducky Water Park. We called it "Wild Duckies Water Park."

Hope you stopped by the West Seattle Ducky Reserve after July 8, to watch them splish'n and a' splash'n! If not, check the video below for a glimpse of The World's First Rubber Ducky Water Park. Ah-looow-ha!

In Remembrance -- Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.

The Lulu Duckies of West Seattle memorialized not only the veterans of wars who died while in military service, but all veterans.

        Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

The Lulu Duckies stood in solidarity with their south-of-the-border neighbors for Cinco de Mayo! Well, sort of... It kind of appears that Cinco de Mayo is more of a California tradition, than a Mexican one. Viva la California! And, Viva la Puebla!

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's unexpected defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. A common misconception in the United States is that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day. Mexico's Independence Day is actually September 16 which is the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico. So, now you know!

        Ducky Easter!

The "2009 Ducky Cottontail Tour" was officially launched on April 3, 2009. The Lulu Duckies were all ducked out for Easter. The cast of truly ducky characters included "Afroduckiac" (to the right), who had a daffy duckling playing in his hair.

Other Lulu Duckies that were found in the Easter Garden included The Carrotheads (for Peace!), The Eggheads (for Peace!), FredEx and JenEx dressed for delivering Easter bunnies, Mizzquack, Quackwabbit, and The Quack Magi.

Thank You, West Seattle Blog and Seattle Magazine !

The Lulu Duckies (and More) -- Star at the Art Walk!

Windemere of West Seattle sponsored my exhibit of silly to sublime pieces of photographic art at the February 12, 2009, West Seattle Art Walk. Thank you, Barb Ogden and Kim Tingley for introducing my "folk art" to the community of the Art Walk!

Below are two pics from the Windemere Art Walk Exhibit. The first one is of Barb and Kim standing next to the theme picture for the exhibit "Peace and Love." The picture below that is of one of my large prints of probably the best available photograph of the famous 1964 Chagall fresco that covers the ceiling of Le Garnier (the old Paris Opera House). You can view other fine art photographs of non-duckies at SterlingImages.us.

        Calendars, Greeting Cards, and Clothes.

We specialize in calendars, greeting cards, and clothes.

More greeting cards, calendars, clothes, and other products will be frequently added to the Duckies Rule! Kingdom. Bookmark us and return often to view our frequent updates and new products.

        What Makes Duckies Rule! Special?

The images utilized in all our ducky products are of actual garden art displayed at the well-known West Seattle Ducky Reserve (our home) in West Seattle, Washington. The ducky characters we create get to entertain our friends, neighbors, and visitors, and, then, they get to be part of fine art prints, calendars, t-shirts, and greeting cards. How ducky is that?

Visitors to our Ducky Reserve have been enjoying the ducky stylings for many years. In August of 2008, we decided to start sharing them with the world. After all, the world would be a better place if duckies ruled.

Do the Duckies at DuckiesRule.com have Names?

All of the duckies at DuckiesRule.com are known as Lulu Duckies. Do you know what that means? Lulu? For educational purposes, you are going to have to look that one up... but, I assure you, it is special. One place you can read more about Lulu Duckies is at our blog, A Ducky World.

Some of the Lulu Duckies have names. For instance, the king and queen of the Duckies Rule! Kingdom are officially known as King Lucky and Queen Lulu. If you travel through this ducky world very much, you will also discover Mr. and Ms. Ducky Claus, Rudy the Red-Faced Reindeer, the Ducky Dears, Snow Ducky, Ice Dancer, Prince and Princess Christmas, the Treeheads, Mr. and Ms. Peace Angel, Diana, Davey, Henry, Condoleeza, Witchy, Ducky Demento, and the Pumpkinheads, among others, Yes, we will be issuing trading cards in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned!
