The Official 2011 Duckies Rule! Calendars are available at our Lulu.com Store. They contain 13 new images for your 2011 enjoyment. There is a school-year version available that has dates from September 2010 to August 2011. In addition, we have revised all our 2010 Calendars for use as 2011 Calendars, just in case you didn't get to purchase them in 2010. Below is the cover for the 2011 Calendar. Yes, they have the "Good Ducky Seal of Approval"!
The Lulu Duckies are still singing and splashing it up at the World's First Ducky Water Park at the West Seattle Ducky Reserve (7031 Beach Drive SW, Seattle), but not for long (September 20). This was the second year for the ducky water park and new performers such as the dancing fool, Bongo Ducky, have been a huge hit!. Ducky Dave was back singing "Splish Splash"! Our Tiki god is still blowing bubbles!
Look for the switches that control the bubbles, the bongo, and Ducky Dave. They are a Porpoise, a Palm Tree, and a Magic Frog. Play with the surf duckies and watch them get tubed!
The duckies of the West Seattle Ducky Reserve got all ducked up for July 4, 2010.
Getting "ducked up" is the process of having a huge amount of fun without getting, you know.... well, this is "G" rated, so I can't say it. But you know. "To be ducked up": Getting high on life, its gifts of wonder, irony, mystery and fun without the so-called "aid" of alcohol or drugs -- in other words, "a natural high." Ducky Diane sang "God Bless America" and the peace signs were all over the garden.
The Lulu Duckies of West Seattle memorialized not only the veterans of wars who have died while in military service, but all veterans during the month of May and early June 2010. Our hats are off and our hearts are with all those who have served or are serving in the United States armed forces, and especially with those who have lost loved ones in military service. Ducky Wayne sang "Proud to be an American." He was joined by the Berlin Express group and Ducky Taps (who played Taps) and a number of his veteran and non-veteran friends. The video of Ducky Wayne is below.
Below is our Memorial Day 2009 video.
Hope you had a great Cinco de Mayo, now a holiday that has been renamed "Battle of La Puebla Day" in many calendars -- just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? Los Duckies de Mayo 2010 featured Ducky La Bamba singing, of course, La Bamba. So, I guess you could say "we had the duckiest Cinco ever!"
In case you are wondering what the lyrics to La Bamba really mean, let me say this -- the first few lines of La Bamba say "In order to dance the Bamba, a little humor is needed." The full translation and history of the song can be found in our 2010 Ducky La Bamba, Cinco de Mayo video!

In case you did not make it by the West Seattle Ducky Reserve at 7031 Beach Drive SW, Seattle, WA 98136, for the 2010 Ducky Easter Show, we have a video of it posted below.
In case you didn't make it by the West Seattle Ducky Reserve for the 2010 Duck O' The Irish Show, we have posted a video of the main performer, Ducky Boyne, below. Compared to last year, Ducky Boyne was kicking high!
The second video is longer and shows details of the 2009 St. Patrick's Day Ducky Garden. Many of those characters showed up for the 2010 show.

The duckiest Valentine's shows on earth took place recently. Ducky Bono's "2010 Love Tour" charity project, took place on the Side Stage at the West Seattle Ducky Reserve. "The Unforgettables" (Ducky Sinatra and Ms. Ducky Love) belted out songs on the Main Stage with the assistance of Ms. Ducky Eva and Mr. Ducky Rose. The West Seattle Ducky Reserve was overflowing with love!
If you didn't make it to West Seattle for the live performances, you can check them out here (below). When viewing the videos, click on the 480p option for a higher quality video.
Hope you had a truly Ducky Valentine's Day!
The Lulu Duckies partied it up and quacked their way through the night on New Year's 2010. Yep, honest, and, they even did their own fireworks show!
We wish you the best in this new year!

Even though Kwanzaa has reportedly become less celebrated during this last "oh-oh" decade, this 1964 high-school graduate still honors its principles and its creative existence. At a minimum, it symbolizes the quest for equality, which, in my ducky world, still counts. Hope you had a very Happy Kwanzaa!
Yep, a very cool thing happened to us on someone's way home from the eighth day of Hanukkah (Friday night, December 18, 2009, 9:30 p.m.) -- they delivered two Hanukkah Duckies to the tree on the Main Stage (see pics below). And, they had a lot of fun doing it!
We know who you are, and we thank you so much for adding to the happiness of the Ducky Holidays. We have a large group of Hanukkah Duckies who we didn't have time to display this year (they will be back next year), so it was especially nice that someone brought this delight to the West Seattle Ducky Reserve. And, these two Hanukkah Duckies are the cutest we have ever seen! Shalom!
Hope you had an absolutely wonderful holiday season. The duckies have moved on to the latest major holiday... migrations happen!

The Lulu Duckies stood in solidarity and peace with all those who celebrated that first Thanksgiving. If you missed Ducky Stan singing "Turkey in the Straw" on the Main Stage at the West Seattle Ducky Reserve, you can watch him by clicking here to view the video. The 2009 Ducky Stan Thanksgiving video uses the Thanksgiving song, "Love to Eat Turkey," sung by Adam Sandler. A warning for parents -- I used "G" rated excerpts from the song -- there are two "R" phrases in the original song.
We have created so many Ducky Holidays! Christmas Cards that I have lost count. Check out our brief previews at our cards page, but please visit our Zazzle Greeting Card Shop to view and purchase our Holiday Greeting Cards. Two Holiday Season stamps are also available.
Several Duckies Rule! 2010 Calendars are available, including Peace Duckies 2010, Ducky Holidays 2010, and Ducky Love 2010 (two-oh-one-oh!) . You can view them here on our Calendars pageor view and purchase them online at The Duckies Rule! Calendar Store.
The Lulu Duckies worked their little tail feathers off creating the World's First Ducky Tower of Terror. Can you believe it? Not unlike the famous Disney World Tower of Terror, the duckies were up to no good for the sake of screaming fun! And, yes, they had fun.

The Lulu Duckies saluted all those hard working folks who make our lives better and who support us through thick and thin. They deserve more than a beer bust at the end of summer! See the ducky post at iReport.com -- Love on Labor Day!
You can read more about the United States holiday at Labor Day at Wikipedia.
Summer in the USA last year officially started on June 21, 2009 (also Father's Day).
Although summer seems like it would be simple to define, it isn't. Check some of the various definitions found at "Summer" at Wikipedia. The Lulu Duckies worked hard to create The World's First Ducky Water Park. We called it "Wild Duckies Water Park."
Hope you stopped by the West Seattle Ducky Reserve after July 8, to watch them splish'n and a' splash'n! If not, check the video below for a glimpse of The World's First Rubber Ducky Water Park. Ah-looow-ha!

The West Seattle Blog ran a very nice article in October 2008 reviewing the history of the "semi-official," West Seattle Ducky Garden within which all the Lulu Ducky characters found in the Duckies Rule! Kingdom have worked and entertained in the last four years. Check the West Seattle Blog article at For a West Seattle entrepeneur, everything's just ducky, by Brittni Reinertsen, posted October 12, 2008. And, they did it again! Thank you for posting our YouTube "Ducky Holidays!" video on December 24, 2008. We have posted a video called The 2009 Ducky Bono Love Tour which you can view here below Go to Our YouTube Page. Ducky Valentine's! Check the Seattle Magazine Blog article at West Seattle Man Sells Ducky Paraphernalia, posted October 29, 2008, by Sally Chamberlain.

The images utilized in all our ducky products are of actual garden art displayed at the well-known West Seattle Ducky Reserve (our home) in West Seattle, Washington. The ducky characters we create get to entertain our friends, neighbors, and visitors, and, then, they get to be part of fine art prints, calendars, t-shirts, and greeting cards. How ducky is that? Visitors to our Ducky Reserve have been enjoying the ducky stylings for many years. In August of 2008, we decided to start sharing them with the world. After all, the world would be a better place if duckies ruled.
All of the duckies at DuckiesRule.com are known as Lulu Duckies. Do you know what that means? Lulu? For educational purposes, you are going to have to look that one up... but, I assure you, it is special. One place you can read more about Lulu Duckies is at our blog, A Ducky World. Some of the Lulu Duckies have names. For instance, the king and queen of the Duckies Rule! Kingdom are officially known as King Lucky and Queen Lulu. If you travel through this ducky world very much, you will also discover Mr. and Ms. Ducky Claus, Rudy the Red-Faced Reindeer, the Ducky Dears, Snow Ducky, Ice Dancer, Prince and Princess Christmas, the Treeheads, Mr. and Ms. Peace Angel, Diana, Davey, Henry, Condoleeza, Witchy, Ducky Demento, and the Pumpkinheads, among others, Yes, we will be issuing trading cards in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned! -- Thank you for visiting. Best wishes! Ron Sterling
